The Nintendo Zapper Controller does not work on modern screens. This game requires a CRT Television or an emulator that supports mouse input for the Zapper.

Undercover Shot  is compatible with modern Light guns that simulate mouse clicks (Aimtrack, Gun4ir, Sinden), when playing standalone or emulator versions

A Rat is undercover in your crew! Figure out his identity and take him out quickly!

Undercover Shot is a simple 2 player social deduction game that uses one standard controller and one Nintendo Zapper controller.

Player 1 (The Rat) uses the directional buttons on the controller to select a character. Once the game starts, they have to try and blend in with the computer characters, and mimic their behaviors.

Player 2 (The Boss) need to observe all the characters on screen to try and deduce which one is controlled by Player 1.When Player 2 thinks they know who the rat is, then they must shoot that character with the Nintendo Zapper.

If Player 2 hits the right character, then they win! But if Player 2 shoots the wrong character, then Player 1 wins.

Setup Instructions

PC Setup

When running on PC you can use a modern IR gun controller like Aim Track, or Sinden Light Guns to play the game on modern screen/televisions. You only need a CRT if you are playing with an NES and classic light gun.

Stand Alone Setup

Download and Unzip Undercover Shot Standalone.zip. Run the Undercover Shot shortcut to play the game. This standalone version uses a preconfigured version of NES Bag to run with one click.

ROM Setup

To play on your own emulator, you must use an NES Emulator that is compatible with Mapper 30 ROMS.

Download Mesen, the recommended emulator, here

If you are using Mesen as your emulator, go to Options>Input>Controllers and change player 2 to "Zapper"

NES/Famicom Setup

If you are playing on Original Hardware, plug a standard controller into port 1, and a Nintendo Zapper (Or comparable light gun) into port 2.

Your NES/Famicom must be hooked up to a CRT Television for the Nintendo Zapper to work. This is a limitation of the Nintendo Zapper Hardware.

This game is compatible with EverDrive NES/Famicom cartridges

NES Hardware Clone Systems/Emulation Systems

Undercover Shot works on most hardware clones, and FPGA systems, but it is impossible for me to test on all clone devices.

Undercover Shot will only work on software emulation systems that support Mapper 30 NES ROMS.
